What is Philippines about?

The Philippines is expected to face elevated poverty and unemployment rates until 2022 due to the economic impact of the pandemic, with poverty projected between 15.5% and 17.5%. The unemployment rate is anticipated to remain around 7% to 9%, significantly higher than pre-pandemic targets. A proposed solution includes promoting vaccination to achieve herd immunity, followed by infrastructure development and education improvements to reduce poverty.
