What is Economic Growth, Financial Development, and Trade Openness of Leading Countries in ASEAN about?

This study examines the causal relationship between financial development, economic growth, and trade openness for six leading ASEAN countries from 1995 to 2019. It employs panel data analysis and Granger causality tests. The results show that trade openness has a positive association with growth, while financial development is positively but insignificantly associated with growth. The study finds bidirectional positive relationships between financial development, economic growth, and trade openness.
