Can I read Hypersonic Flow Over a Six-finned Configuration on EtoBox?
Hypersonic Flow Over a Six-finned Configuration by A. M. Agnone; V. Zakkay; P. Weinacht is a Engineering article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Hypersonic Flow Over a Six-finned Configuration about?
Experimental data of the flow field over a six-finned configuration are compared with computations from an inviscid Euler code and a parabolized Navier-Stokes (PNS) code to assess their accuracy. Surface oil flow patterns, surface pressures, and flow field pitot surveys are presented. The PNS computations are in good agreement with the measurements in the inviscid regions. Differences are noted in the viscous regions possibly due to nose tip bluntness effects and the associated entropy layer. ## List of symbols Dcyl M P P r R, Re D T Z 4) cylinder diameter 10.16 cm (4.00 in) Mach number static pressure stagnation or total pressure radial distance from model axis nose tip radius Reynolds number based on model diameter temperature axial distance along the model axis angle of attack circumferential angle measured from windward most ray fin roll orientation Subscripts t total or stagnation conditions w model wall conditions 2 conditions behind a normal shock so free stream conditions
