This study investigated the effects of pregelatinized and phosphate-modified sweet potato starches on the disintegrant properties of paracetamol tablets compared to native sweet potato starch and maize starch BP. Sweet potato starch was modified by pregelatinization or phosphorylation. Tablets were prepared using the starches and evaluated for disintegration time.
