Jiah Khan was a British-American actress and singer who appeared in three Hindi films between 2007-2010. She was born in New York City to an Indian-American businessman father and British-Indian actress mother. Khan grew up in London and moved to Mumbai to pursue a film career. Some of her notable roles included debut film Nishabd and the 2008 hit Ghajini. In 2013, Khan died by suicide in her Mumbai home at age 25. Her death was investigated and deemed a suicide, though her mother believed she was murdered
