What is The Year She Fell about?
There are many secrets among the sisters and mother of the prosperous Wakefield family of West Virginia . And they're all tied to a tragic mystery in the 1980's, when beautiful Cathy Wakefield fell to her death while rock climbing. Now the secrets return to torment Cathy's sister Ellen, a Presbyterian minister, starting the day Ellen looks up from the pulpit to find a grown young man standing in her church, accusing her of being his birth mother. In fact, he's the son of Ellen's troubled husband, Tom. Ellen goes home to West Virginia to heal from Tom's betrayal and learn the truth about the mystery woman Tom refuses to identify. What she, her mother, and her emotionally scarred TV-star sister, Laura, discover about themselves and their family past changes all their lives forever.
