The certification for several models of Tecnicomar sewage treatment plants was withdrawn in February 2019. Shipowners with these uncertified plants risk being unable to renew their Sewage Pollution Prevention certification when it expires. They must work with Tecnicomar to replace or upgrade the plants to models that have received certification from DNV-GL before renewing their certification. A list of the affected models is provided in an annex.
