What is John Galsworthy: Life and Works Overview about?

John Galsworthy was an English novelist and dramatist who won the 1932 Nobel Prize in Literature. He was born into a wealthy family in 1867 and trained as a barrister, though he preferred to travel abroad for the family business. He is best known for his series The Forsyte Saga, which began in 1906 with The Man of Property and criticized the English upper middle class. Galsworthy continued the saga over 15 years with two more novels, In Chancery in 1920 and To Let in 1921.
