About this document
EIP Transposition for EPL Rupture Recovery by vasasdfwqe is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This document describes a study of 12 patients who underwent surgery to treat inveterate ruptures of the extensor pollicis longus (EPL) tendon. The surgery involved transposing the extensor indicis proprius (EIP) tendon to reconstruct extension of the thumb. All patients recovered full active extension of the thumb following the procedure with no complications. The results demonstrated that EIP transposition is an effective technique for repairing chronic EPL ruptures.
