What is TMD Prevalence in Young Adults Study about?
This study examined 230 male army recruits aged 19-28 to determine the prevalence of temporomandibular disorder (TMD) signs and symptoms and investigate their association with occlusal factors. A questionnaire and clinical examination were used to assess TMD symptoms and signs in subjects, as well as various occlusal traits. The results found that 38% of subjects reported at least one TMD symptom while 45% exhibited at least one clinical sign. Statistical analysis revealed weak but significant correlations
