About this document

pH Determination of Bromocresol Green by Matthew Garner is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This experiment aimed to determine the pH of a buffer solution containing bromocresol green using three methods: theoretical calculation, potentiometry, and UV-visible spectrophotometry. The pH values obtained from each method were: theoretical pH = 4.58, potentiometric pH = 4.25 ± 0.02, and spectrophotometric pH = 4.47 ± 0.02. The results demonstrate that spectrophotometry and potentiometry provided consistent pH measurements, while theoretical calculation was less precise.
