This study prospectively examined 517 Muslim patients hospitalized with stroke either during Ramadan (n=245) or one month before (n=262) over two years. The researchers found no significant differences between the groups in age, sex ratio, risk factors, NIH stroke scale scores, or ratios of hemorrhagic to ischemic stroke.
