What is Current Sensor Principles and Types about?
Current Transformer Measurement principle: - An AC current that is proportional to the turns ratio flows in the secondary winding to cancel out the magnetic flux produced in the core by the primary current. This produces a secondary voltage proportional to the primary current. - The secondary current flows through a shunt resistor, producing a voltage used as the measurement output. Hall element current sensors use the Hall effect to convert the magnetic field around a current into a proportional voltage.
