About this document

Identifying Status Epilepticus in EMS by Đức Hạnh Phan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study examines the prevalence of unidentified status epilepticus (SE) among patients evaluated by emergency medical services (EMS) and highlights the delays in treatment associated with it. Out of 1356 encounters, 10.3% had unidentified SE, with most receiving a diagnosis of altered consciousness or stroke, and only 18.7% received prehospital benzodiazepine treatment. The findings suggest that improved identification of SE in prehospital settings could enhance treatment outcomes.
