What is Corneal Endothelial Safety Profile about?

This study compares the 5-year corneal endothelial safety of three minimally invasive glaucoma surgery devices: iStent inject, Hydrus Microstent, and CyPass Micro-Stent. Results indicate that while iStent inject showed comparable endothelial cell loss to controls, both Hydrus and CyPass had significantly higher rates of endothelial cell loss and lower endothelial cell density. The findings suggest that iStent inject may be safer for corneal health compared to Hydrus and CyPass over a 5-year period.
