Hazrat Miya Paisa Sahab was a Sufi saint born in Hyderabad in the 18th century. He was a disciple of Hazrat Diwan Shah Data al-Quaderi. He lived an ascetic life, often found wandering in the streets absorbed in meditation. He performed several miracles that gained him fame, including calming a storm by jumping into a flooded river. He died in 1831 and his annual urs is commemorated at his tomb near the Purana Pul bridge, where he used to sit and was known as Hazrat Miya Paisa.
