What is Declining Growth of Pinus roxburghii in Kashmir about?

This study investigates the declining growth rate of Pinus roxburghii populations in the Kashmir Himalayas from 1840 to 2017 using dendrochronological methods. The average growth rate was found to be 0.89 cm/year, with significant fluctuations and a general decline correlated with climate change and socioeconomic factors. The research highlights the importance of constructing tree ring chronologies for further understanding past climatic conditions in the region.
