This study evaluated the use of paddy straw as a substrate for cultivating the medicinal mushroom Ganoderma lucidum in India. Different mixtures of paddy straw and sawdust were tested along with 10% rice bran. All substrate mixtures supported fruiting of G. lucidum with no significant differences in yield.
