What is The Effect of Prior Information On Fear Responses To Tactile Stimuli about?

This study examined the impact of prior information on fear responses to tactile stimulation among two groups: informed and uninformed participants. Results showed no significant difference in fear levels between the two groups, suggesting that intrinsic reflexes may drive fear responses more than cognitive appraisal. The findings imply that factors such as touch sensitivity and past experiences may play a more critical role in shaping fear reactions than prior knowledge alone.
