The bodies of two British airmen, Gary Thompson aged 51 and Graham Livingstone aged 23, who were killed in a bomb blast in Afghanistan, have been returned to the UK. They were taking part in a security patrol in Kandahar province when they were killed. Thompson had joined the RAF in 2005 and was deployed to Afghanistan in February, while Livingstone had previously served in Iraq and joined the RAF in 2004. Both families paid tribute to the men and said they would be deeply missed.
