What is Automatic Pick and Place System Design about?

This document presents the design of an automatic pick and place system controlled by a Siemens PLC kit. A group of 6 students designed the system under the guidance of Dr. B.K. Nayak. The system includes a DC motor operated conveyor belt, capacitive and inductive sensors, and a robotic arm. The programming is done using Simatic Manager software. Algorithms and ladder logic are used to automate the process of picking objects from the conveyor belt and placing them in other locations using the robotic arm.
