Effect of a cold helium plasma at −180°C on polyolefin films II. The chemiluminescence component by Pilar Tiemblo; Jose Manuel Gómez-Elvira; Gilbert Teyssedre; Francoise Massines; Christian Laurent is a Materials Science article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Effect of a cold helium plasma at −180°C on polyolefin films II. The chemiluminescence component about?

After treatment with cold He plasma at À180 C LDPE and PP ®lms emit light. This Plasma Induced Luminescence (PIL) shows three components, one of which has been previously identi®ed as chemiluminescence (PIL-CL). The chemiluminescence component in PIL of PP and LDPE is compared with isothermal chemiluminescence (CL) spectra obtained on heating PP in air at 165 C and strong similarities are found. Furthermore, increasing plasma treatment time or heating time brings a similar evolution in the PIL-CL and isothermal CL spectra, rendering spectra broader and shifted to higher wavelength.

Who reads Effect of a cold helium plasma at −180°C on polyolefin films II. The chemiluminescence component?

It is typically read by researchers, students, and practitioners in Materials Science.
