What is Strange Fruit: A Poignant Reflection about?

The poem describes the lynching of African Americans in the Southern United States. It depicts black bodies hanging from trees, with blood on the leaves and roots, as strange fruit for crows to feed on. The pastoral scenes of the South are contrasted with the twisted mouths and burning flesh of lynching victims.
