What is Supreme Court Order on Limitation Extension about?

The Supreme Court of India extended the period of limitation in all legal proceedings in India from March 15, 2020 to February 28, 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For cases where the limitation period expired during this time, litigants will now have 90 days from March 1, 2022 to file their cases. The court also clarified that periods prescribed under certain other laws are also extended.
