## Abstract The Δ^14^‐16‐oxo‐androstene derivative VIII has been prepared in a fully stereospecific way from the tricyclic ketone I by di‐methallylation, ozonisation of the methallyl double bonds, condensation of the 2β‐acetonyl residue with the 4 β‐hydroxyl group with formation of the cyclic enol ether V, and cyclisation.
