This study compares single layer closure (mass closure) and conventional layered closure techniques for laparotomy wounds in 97 patients. Results indicate that single layer closure significantly reduces closure time (18.2 minutes vs. 26.4 minutes) and postoperative complications (17.18% vs. 42.42%). The findings suggest that single layer closure is a more efficient and safer option for laparotomy wound closure.
