The study compares the effects of laparoscopic and non-laparoscopic surgeries on blood glucose levels in 50 patients at two hospitals in Baghdad, Iraq. Results indicate that patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery had significantly higher blood sugar levels before, during, and after the operation compared to those who had non-laparoscopic surgery. The findings suggest that laparoscopic procedures may lead to elevated blood glucose levels in patients.
