What is Ice Age Impact on British Isles Geography about?

During the last Ice Age around 20,000 years ago, much of the British Isles were covered by thick ice sheets. The climate was bitterly cold and the landscape was tundra. As the ice sheets melted around 10,000 years ago, sea levels rose and the British Isles became separated from mainland Europe by the English Channel. Glaciers erode and shape the landscape through abrasion, plucking, and freeze-thaw weathering, forming features like U-shaped valleys and deposits called moraines.
