Can I read Analysis of radiative transfer in multi-dimensional anisotropic-scattering media with the GZM-MC method on EtoBox?
Analysis of radiative transfer in multi-dimensional anisotropic-scattering media with the GZM-MC method by Walter W. Yuen; Steven P. Shepard is a Engineering article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Analysis of radiative transfer in multi-dimensional anisotropic-scattering media with the GZM-MC method about?
The zonal method is extend to become the generalized zonal method (GZM) and applied to the analysis of radiative transfer in anisotropic scattering media. The formulation for GZM is mathematically rigorous and the solution approaches the exact solution in the limit of fine discretization. Combining GZM with the Monte Carlo method leads to the GZM-MC method, which is shown to be both computationally accurate and efficient. Analysis of an example demonstrates that anisotropic scattering has a significant impact on the multi-dimensional reflection and transmission of an incoming energy beam to a scattering/absorbing medium. The potential of using the GZM-MC method as a computational tool for an inversion technique to determine the optical properties of anisotropic scattering materials is discussed.
