What is Spectroscopic Problems In Organic Chemistry: A companion volume to "Spectroscopic Methods in Organic Chemistry" about?
A companion volume to "Spectroscopic Methods in Organic Chemistry", this book of problems is designed to provide practical experience in the elucidation of structure from the spectra of organic compounds. The ultra-violet, infre-red, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectra are given for each compound. The fist twenty-four problems are of the simplest kind, suitable for an introductory practical course. The twenty-five problems in the next section further illustratte the great amount of complementary information wich is provided by the four spectroscopic methods in some more difficult cases. The remaining eighteen problems are of a type familiar in graduate seminars and to practising chemists, and some of them will tax the ingenuity even of the experienced.
