This document analyzes data from 25 deep excavation cases in gravel deposits in Taiwan to determine apparent earth pressure envelopes for braced excavations in gravel formations. It finds that the shape of the envelope is similar to ones suggested by previous researchers but the apparent earth pressures are much less.
