About this document

Early Discharge Protocol for Low-Risk Chest Pain by andriotti.isadora is a document available to read on EtoBox.

A protocol was implemented to facilitate the early discharge of low-risk chest pain patients from the emergency department (ED) and establish a chest pain clinic (CPC) for timely follow-up. The study found that early discharge did not increase the risk of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) and resulted in reduced utilization of stress testing and cardiac catheterization. Overall, the intervention maintained low rates of MACE among discharged patients while ensuring follow-up care within 72 hours.
