The grading rubric evaluates student critiques on a scale of 5 to 10 based on 5 criteria: summary, analysis, support of analysis, organization and content, and grammar and mechanics. Each criterion is worth 20% of the total grade and has descriptors for performance levels ranging from outstanding to less than 5. The highest level response for each criterion would clearly and insightfully address the aspects of that criterion such as thesis, strategies, evaluation, organization and language use without error
