BIS Monitoring in Pediatric Anesthesia by dinko89 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of using a Bispectral Index (BIS) monitor to guide sevoflurane administration in pediatric patients undergoing elective surgery. Results showed that the BIS guided group had a lower average end-tidal sevoflurane concentration compared to the control group, but no significant differences in recovery outcomes were observed. The findings suggest that BIS monitoring can optimize anesthesia delivery in children aged 4-18 years without adversely affecting recovery quality.
