What is Preface about?
This volume contains the revised version of a selection of the papers presented at the Sixth Spanish Conference on Programming and Languages, PROLE 2006, held in Sitges (Barcelona) on October 4-6, 2006. PROLE is a series of conferences whose aim is to serve as a meeting point for Spanish research groups developing their work in the area of programming and programming languages (PROLE stems from the spanish PROgramaci on y LEnguajes). Previous versions were held at Almagro (2001), El Escorial (2002), Alicante (2003), Málaga (2004) and Granada (2005).
