About this document

Understanding DNA to RNA Transcription by api-418176886 is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Transcription is the process by which DNA is used as a template to produce RNA. During transcription, RNA polymerase adds RNA nucleotides that are complementary to one strand of the DNA, with uracil replacing thymine. There are three main types of RNA - mRNA which carries the genetic code, rRNA which makes up ribosomes, and tRNA which carries amino acids to assemble proteins as specified by mRNA.
