This document describes 3 species of the genus Amarygmus found on the Palau Islands in the West Caroline Islands: Amarygmus hydrophiloides, A. iris, and A. palauensis sp. nov. A. palauensis sp. nov. is described and illustrated for the first time. Specimens of A. hydrophiloides and A. iris from Palau are also illustrated. The genus Amarygmus is most diverse in New Guinea and adjacent regions, with over 600 described species, but knowledge of species in the Pacific islands is more limited.
