This research examines the impact of digitalization on the Quality of Marine Economic Development (QMED) using data from 168 A-share listed marine firms in China from 2003 to 2023. The findings indicate that digitalization enhances QMED by improving Total Factor Productivity (TFP) and resource allocation efficiency, with larger firms and labor-intensive industries benefiting more than smaller firms and capital-intensive ones.
