What is Adam Weishaupt about?

Adam Weishaupt was a German philosopher and founder of the Order of Illuminati. He formed the Order of Perfectibilists in 1776 and worked to incorporate his system of Illuminism with Freemasonry. However, his radical views led the Bavarian government to ban the Illuminati in 1784 and Weishaupt fled into exile, living in Gotha and writing works defending illuminism.
