About this document
Is Bisphenol A Sorbed Onto Microplastics Less Bioavailable Than Freely Dissolved Bisphenol A by kznnsmm6p7 is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the bioavailability of bisphenol A (BPA) adsorbed onto microplastics compared to freely dissolved BPA using a murine model. Results indicate that BPA associated with microplastics is bioavailable to a similar extent as free BPA, with both leading to increased expression of detoxification biomarkers and oxidative stress markers in the gut. The findings highlight the potential health implications of microplastic contamination in relation to BPA exposure.
