What is Finger Joint Flexion in Pinching Study about?
This study analyzes the flexion angles of finger joints during two-finger tip pinching using 3D bone models from CT images to inform the design of electric prosthetic hands. It was found that the flexion angles of the proximal interphalangeal and metacarpophalangeal joints of the index finger decreased with larger cylinder diameters, while the distal interphalangeal joint and thumb joints remained unchanged.
