About this document

Understanding Auxiliary Views in Drafting is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Auxiliary views are used to accurately represent the true shape and size of inclined surfaces that are not parallel to the standard projection planes. These views are obtained by projecting onto a new plane that is parallel to the inclined surface, allowing for a clearer depiction of its dimensions. There are two types of auxiliary views: partial, which shows only the inclined surface, and full, which includes all features of the object.
