About this document

HSCSD and GPRS in Mobile Networks by Conor O 'Regan is a document available to read on EtoBox.

2.5G technologies like HSCSD and GPRS were developed to provide higher data rates for GSM networks and meet the demand for data services. HSCSD allows for multiple time slots to be allocated to achieve higher rates, while GPRS introduced a packet-switched service using new network nodes. EDGE further improved data rates by using a more advanced 8-PSK modulation that encodes 3 bits per symbol.
