What is Nha Nhac: Vietnamese Court Music Heritage about?

Nha Nhac, or Vietnamese court music, was inscribed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2008, representing a rich tradition of music and dance performed at the Vietnamese royal court from the 15th to mid-20th century. This art form played a significant role in royal ceremonies and served as a means of communication with deities and the cosmos. Despite facing threats to its survival due to historical upheavals, efforts continue to preserve Nha Nhac, which also influences contemporary Vietnamese music.
