Using data from 8 GNSS receivers in the Philippines from March 2015, the authors analyzed fluctuations in total electron content (TEC) to observe occurrences of ionospheric scintillation. Scintillation was mostly observed in the post-sunset hours and lasted 3-4 hours. However, during a strong geomagnetic storm, scintillation disappeared due to reduced electric field formation.
