What is Hachiko and Angkor Wat: A Cultural Overview about?

The document describes a famous dog statue in Tokyo called Hachiko. It details how the dog Hachiko would wait every day at Shibuya station for his owner, a professor, to return from work. When the professor died suddenly at work in 1925, Hachiko continued waiting at the station daily until his own death in 1935, showing great loyalty to his owner. A statue was later erected outside the station in memory of Hachiko.
