Can I read Appendicectomy and Yersiniosis on EtoBox?

Appendicectomy and Yersiniosis by Saul Tzipori; Roy Robins‐Browne is a Social Sciences article available to read on EtoBox.

What is Appendicectomy and Yersiniosis about?

persisted after the erythrocytes were washed in an aluminium-free medium. A 30% inhibition of the initial rate of choline efflux from erythrocytes which had been preloaded with 1 moUL [3HI choline, occurred in the presence of an average of 33 moOL aluminium chloride (95% confidence limits, 14 ILmoUL to 77 ILmoUL; 16 dj). These findings show that the choline transportation system of human erythrocytes is relatively susceptible to aluminium. If human cholinergic neurons are equally susceptible, then aluminium may well contribute to the pathology of Alzheimer's disease and dialysis encephalopathy by inhibiting the neuronal transportation of choline. Further work on human tissues is required, although it is difficult to measure choline uptake in synaptosomes from human brains because of the deleterious effect of post-mortem delay.
