About this document
Compact Microstrip Low-Pass Filter Design by Jubril Akinwande is a document available to read on EtoBox.
A compact low-pass filter was designed using stepped-impedance resonators and open-circuited stubs to provide an ultra-wide stopband. The filter was fabricated on an FR4 substrate with a measured 3 dB cutoff frequency of 5.2 GHz and rejection greater than 20 dB from 5.5 to 14 GHz. Increasing the number of filter units improved the selectivity while maintaining the cutoff frequency. The stub length and width could shift the cutoff frequency and return loss. Measurements matched simulations well, demonstratin
