This study evaluates the efficacy of selective nerve root block (SNRB) with steroids in managing prolapsed lumbar intervertebral disc (PLID) when conservative treatments fail. Out of 35 patients, 88.57% experienced sustained improvement in pain relief and mobility over one year, allowing them to avoid surgery. The results indicate that SNRB can be an effective intervention prior to surgical options, although the underlying pathology remains and recurrence is possible.
