What is Sredni Vashtar: A Dark Imagination about?
Conradin is a sickly 10-year-old boy who lives with his cruel aunt. He finds escape through his vivid imagination, where he creates a god named Sredni Vashtar that lives in a shed in the form of a ferret. Conradin cares for the ferret, singing songs and bringing it gifts. When his aunt discovers the ferret and threatens to take it away, Conradin asks his god to do something for him. Later, the aunt is found dead after going into the shed, and Sredni Vashtar is seen leaving, its mouth covered in blood.
